  • Streptococcal Bacteria, the cause of cavities, can spread from a Mom’s kiss. In fact, Mothers and Grandmothers are the primary source of spreading the bacteria through kissing, sharing spoons, sharing foods and drinks.
  • A 2008 study found 30% of 3 month-olds, 60% of 6 month-olds and nearly 80% of 2 year-olds were infected with the bacteria.
  • We are seeing an increase in the percentage of our patients with cavities, which is why we want to provide a service to the community to help reduce cavities.
